Therapists
David is a director of Portland Therapy Centre. He graduated as a Physiotherapist from Bristol School of Physiotherapy in 1991, and has been a full-time practitioner for the past 30 years. He has worked with clients to international standard in a number of sports, having a special interest in sports injuries.
David was one of the first Sports Massage Therapists in Britain to gain a national qualification recognised by the British Olympic Association.Helen has been in practice since 1991 and is fully qualified and insured in Aromatherapy, Therapeutic and Sports Massage.
Christine graduated with a first class honours degree in podiatry from Plymouth University in 1998. She has worked as a podiatrist/chiropodist for the past 25 years including 10 years in the NHS. She moved her practice to Portland Therapy Centre in Autumn 2022 when the TheraSmart (Pendennis) clinic closed.
Chris enjoys providing a friendly and professional service for people with a range of foot problems including basic nail cutting, thickened and ingrowing toe nails, corns, callus, verruca and diabetic foot care. She is a passionate horse rider and is also a fully qualified Alexander Technique teacher.
Amanda Staples has worked in the complementary therapy field since 1999. Her focus is on improving function and mobility, and promoting good mental health. Amanda mainly practices Bowen technique, remedial massage incorporating muscle energy techniques or kinesiology taping where appropriate, and hypnotherapy. She also offers therapeutic massage and seated acupressure massage. Amanda is a member of CNHC and the Complementary Therapist’s Association.
